Luke Mission Letters

  ¡Qué pasoooo amigos! These past two weeks have been CRAZY but I'm having such a good time! Here's the highlights: Traveling from the CCM to the Mission Field was crazy! First we took a quick 9 hour flight to Buenos Aires, stayed the night in a crazy nice hotel, then took a 1 hour flight to Resistencia the next day! I was so hyped that we didn't have to take a bus to Resistencia, because the third travel day my new companion and I took a nice 11 hour bus ride to our area. Lots of travel, but it flew by so overall it wasn't too bad I'm finally in my first area, a little city called San Vicente! Out here it's all red dirt, green grass and blue skies. Definitely one of the most beautiful places I've ever been, so I'm super hyped to be here! The people out here are super cool too, definitely a W of an area The food is absolutely BONKERS.   ¡Hola amigos y familia!  Yet another packed week in the CCM. Here's some highlights:  I expected the 4th of July to be kinda depressing, being in a foriegn country, but it was actually one of the best days in the CCM so far! For lunch, we got to have burgers, hot dogs, pickles (which I didn't think I would be having for two years, so that was a W), Dr. Pepper, Root Beer, and Ice Cream. By far the best meal I've had at the CCM! And to top it off we got to hear "fireworks" all through the night. Super patriotic! My companion managed to fall out of a chair and hit his face on another chair, so now he's got a sweet black eye There's lots of pests here, but the most annoying of them all has got to be the birds. There's these bright green, parakeet-looking birds that we call "ratas con alas" (rats with wings) because you can hear them screeching all day. Every day. Even through concrete walls.
