Hola que tal mis weys Packed week, here's the highlights: Had divisions with Elder Rasmussen (other rasmussen, not the one who is 6'7) and it was litty, turns out we were both at BYU at the same time and we know all the same people so that was litty Also on divisions we went on visits with a kid named Thiago and he said "After today I have decided to go on a Mission" which was super dope!!  Found the best burgers in Formosa which isn't saying much but I was pleased On Wednesday night Elder Rasmussen and I went with the other ZL's and HLC's to Resistencia for a Leadership Conference and our bus ended up getting delayed for about two hours, so the whole trip ended up feeling like a big vacation. My good friend took a LOT of pictures and I added some below, enjoy Driving from the Terminal in Resistencia our Taxi Driver let us know that he regularly adds a dose of Cocaine to his daily Mate, I thought it might not be the best of ideas but he assured me that i...

Hola a todos Highlights: This week on Monday our friend Maria Hellman appeared at our ward activity and told us that she wanted to be baptized... which was super awesome until we went to her house to teach her and she said that she had decided to leave the church... skipped a few steps there but its all good  On the topic of ugly dogs our friend Sergio's mangy dog followed us for about 2 hours on Tuesday and I almost punted that thing so far On the topic of kicking animals Elder Rasmussen and I were walking home one night and a GIANT rat jumped on my foot and I kicked that thing so far you have no idea There was an absolute Monsoon in Formosa the other day, it was raining/hailing so hard that our door got knocked off the hinges I am so confused by some of the music here. There's a lot of Drug trade that goes down on the street where we live, and the dealers LOVE to sit outside and blast music all night. The confusing part is that you might think that the tough street gangs w...

¡Hola amigos y familia! First week of my second transfer in Formosa!  Highlights: Got a new companion this week! His name is Elder Rasmussen and he's from Reno, Nevada. He's 6'7 so I now get to be the one who feels short. However it has been a nice change from training for the past 4.5 months, teaching 50/50 in lessons is something I've definitely missed Contrary to what every person in Formosa says ("It is NEVER cold here in Formosa, EVEN during the winter") it got super cold out of nowhere and dumped rain for a few days. Super nice change from the 110° weather every day  Apparently everyone in the area decided that they're super confident, because me and Elder Rasmussen have been hit on about 8 different times this week. One of our friends, Sergio, lives with his Mom, and every time we walk in to teach them she just starts saying "QUE LINDOOOOOO QUE LINDOOOO QUE LINDO QUE SOS" which essentially means she thinks we're pretty. Also another ...

Hola a todos Highlights: Had to go get my DNI to become an Argentine Citizen on Friday, so Elder Smith and I went on vacation to Corrientes on Friday morning and it was LITTY. We sat in the government office for the morning and then got to spend the whole afternoon in Resistencia, so we went to the one shopping mall in the whole mission, AND we went to McDonald's. It was amazing We got transfer news on Sunday, and Elder Smith is leaving Formosa halfway through his training  Big RIP but luckily he's being follow-up trained by my homie Elder Phelps in Saenz Peña so I at least know he'll be taken care of when I'm not there :( We found out that one of our friends Jade just turned nine this week, so we decided to start visiting her family and teaching the lessons. We gave her a copy of The Book of Mormon to read in Spanish, but when we came back a few days later, she had (somehow) found a copy in English, and told us (in near-perfect English) "I like reading this one ...

Hola ches Great week this week! Here's the highlights: Our boy Santiago got baptized on Tuesday! He was super hyped and took some TOUGH pictures right before, so don't even trip I added them below. We found him our second week here, and he has not missed a week of church since then. Major W We had Divisions on Tuesday and I was with Elder Elison from Utah; together we had perhaps the most OP missionary day: teaching eight lessons back to back from 4:00 pm to 9:30 pm. But right after divisions ended, we taught two lessons from Wednesday until Sunday night. Not the most productive of weeks (minus the baptismal service on tuesday) but it was still a good time Make sure to let me know how you're doing! Thanks for the support! Cuernos Abajo, Elder Johnson 1. Met Messi 2. Maldito Skate Shop 3. Divisiones feat. Elder Elison 4. Almuerzo con Santiago y su Familia 5. Formosa 6. Hype Wall 7. Está todo tranqui pero listo igual 8.   Que tal Another great week this week! Here's my highlights: Note from last week: Totally forgot to add this to the email but two of our friends, Zuni and Ingrid, got baptized a few weeks ago! I added the picture below! Poor Elder Smith wanted to do some street contacting one day as we were walking home from the Terminal, so I taught him how to start a contact in Spanish and set him loose on the people of Formosa. Unfortunately he got flashed within the first few minutes so that experience didn't last too long There's a kid in our neighborhood who has been STUDYING when we leave our apartment every day so he can throw CD's at us. Don't ask me why or how he has so many CD's, but it's been every day this week. He sees us walking down the street, yells something in Guaraní, and throws a blank CD at us, before disappearing into a house within seconds. The CD Bandito is still at large We had lunch at a member's house this week and one of the kids said "...
