Semanas 58 - 59

Lots of stuff these past two weeks!

Highlights: 
  • Turns out the pinkeye that I thought I had a while back was actually just a massive stye
  • Found an old abandoned Colectivo one night out walking and Elder Fuller and I took the opportunity to take some fire pictures, I dropped some below
  • Divisions over these past few weeks have been with Elder Kaelberer again, Elder Vazquez from Buenos Aires and Elder Cummings. Unfortunately for all three of them I managed to have the worst divisions luck ever and we didn't teach a lesson on either of those three divisions
  • Had the Conferencia de Zona and the Multizona in the same week which was crazy. Got to see my son Elder Smith for the first time since he left Formosa and Elder Rassmussen for the first time since we were companions
  • At the Multizona our whole district was going to show up 2 hours early in the morning to take Mate and vibe, but Elder Fuller and I were the only ones who showed up to Matear :( muy triste
  • Met a guy in our ward who is a professional DJ, we talked a bunch about music productions and live music, and right before I left I made sure to plug Luckus. He said he'd start playing me at his shows so get ready for the music to blow up
  • Highlight of the two weeks was when a dude tried to rob Elder Fuller and I in broad daylight. We were on our way to lunch at noon when a dude ran up from behind, pulled out an Asado Knife and said "Gimme your phone". I kinda stood there shocked for a second and said "Uhhhh we don't have one?" but at that point Elder Fuller had already started running and the dude chased after him. I started running to support my companion, but as it turns out Elder Fuller had hooked a right and the guy had kept running, so I just ended up chasing some argentine dude with a knife for two minutes without my companion

  Hola a todos Highlights: This week on Monday our friend Maria Hellman appeared at our ward activity and told us that she wanted to be baptized... which was super awesome until we went to her house to teach her and she said that she had decided to leave the church... skipped a few steps there but its all good  On the topic of ugly dogs our friend Sergio's mangy dog followed us for about 2 hours on Tuesday and I almost punted that thing so far On the topic of kicking animals Elder Rasmussen and I were walking home one night and a GIANT rat jumped on my foot and I kicked that thing so far you have no idea There was an absolute Monsoon in Formosa the other day, it was raining/hailing so hard that our door got knocked off the hinges I am so confused by some of the music here.   Hola que tal mis weys Packed week, here's the highlights: Had divisions with Elder Rasmussen (other rasmussen, not the one who is 6'7) and it was litty, turns out we were both at BYU at the same time and we know all the same people so that was litty Also on divisions we went on visits with a kid named Thiago and he said "After today I have decided to go on a Mission" which was super dope!!  Found the best burgers in Formosa which isn't saying much but I was pleased On Wednesday night Elder Rasmussen and I went with the other ZL's and HLC's to Resistencia for a Leadership Conference and our bus ended up getting delayed for about two hours, so the whole trip ended up feeling like a big vacation. Semanas 33-34

  ¡Hola a todos! Here's the highlights from the past two weeks in Formosa Capital: It is really hot (Highest this week was 104°F with 98% humidity) and every single conversation that I have starts with somebody mentioning that it is really hot Elder Smith and I were knocking doors to try and find some members in the projects and a dude answered the door 100% naked. Turns out he was not the member we were looking for Went on Divisions with Elder Reyes in Centenario and participated in the most heated Ward Council meeting that I have ever experienced Found a goat and his owner said that if we want we can use him to ride around the neighborhood so we can get around faster. W I've been living the dream that I had throughout my whole 6 months in San Vicente because there are Elders who live closer than 3 hours away and we play basketball every Pday  Life is good Let me know how you've all been doing!
