Packed week, here's the highlights:
  • Had divisions with Elder Rasmussen (other rasmussen, not the one who is 6'7) and it was litty, turns out we were both at BYU at the same time and we know all the same people so that was litty
  • Also on divisions we went on visits with a kid named Thiago and he said "After today I have decided to go on a Mission" which was super dope!!
  •  Found the best burgers in Formosa which isn't saying much but I was pleased
  • On Wednesday night Elder Rasmussen and I went with the other ZL's and HLC's to Resistencia for a Leadership Conference and our bus ended up getting delayed for about two hours, so the whole trip ended up feeling like a big vacation. My good friend took a LOT of pictures and I added some below, enjoy
  • Driving from the Terminal in Resistencia our Taxi Driver let us know that he regularly adds a dose of Cocaine to his daily Mate, I thought it might not be the best of ideas but he assured me that it is a) definitely safe b) really healthy and c) I should 100% give it a try
  • When we got to Resistencia we headed to President Reber's house and it was the nicest Argentinian home I have ever seen; President and Hermana Reber live on the 16th floor of the tallest building in Resistencia, and it is hands down the nicest place I have been on my Mission to date. It even has carpet no joke
  • Got to see Elder Packer (my trainer) and Elder Figueroa (my first DL) in Resistencia for the first time in 5-ish months and it was sick! They're companions right now and it was fun to catch up on all the crazy stuff that has happened since we parted ways all the way back in semana 20
  • On the way back from Resi I finally got a Latino to give me helpful suggestions on how to improve my Spanish for the first time since I left San Vicente, shoutout Hermana Farfan for that one
  • On Friday afternoon Elder Rasmussen and I met one of the Pro Basketball players from the Formosa team of the Argentina NBA and he was so excited that we speak english that he invited us to play basketball with him in the stadium next Pday
  • We closed out the week with the Baptism of our friend Bianca! Elder Smith and I found her and her family a few weeks back, and she was able to be Baptized this Saturday!
  • Had the longest Fast Sunday Sacrament meeting of my life when the AC went out right before the meeting started and all 100 of the people in attendance sat and boiled for an hour and a half straight (a recent convert in the ward picked that exact moment to give a very long although very touching testimony of their conversion, that took us to the half hour over) 
  • Out of context quote of the week: "If Jesus Christ Himself descended from heaven and handed me the Book of Mormon and told me it was true I would not belive it"

  Hola amigos y familia... en Martes?!? Qué?!? I've decided that there's never actually a regular week in the mission... I can't actually get into everything that happened this week, but just know that it was wild as per usual.  Here's my highlights: Got robbed on Tuesday last week!! It was my first time getting robbed so I was a little nervous  but luckily I didn't have to worry about it too much because someone just stole my wallet out of my pocket when I was sleeping on a bus.   ¡Hola amigos y familia! Wild week, here's the highlights: Got McDonald's this week! I legitimately shed a tear of joy it was just so good. Nothing slaps harder than a Big Mac meal Parted ways with Elder Packer in Posadas, in our last moments together we almost got robbed by a dude who told me a pidgeon said I needed to repent Slept on the floor of a Chapel in Posadas so I could catch a bus to Resistencia at 2 am, would not recommend Picked up my new companion Elder Yetter in Resistencia on Tuesday, and he's pretty dope! Speaks just about zero Spanish, but at least he's excited to be here We got stuck in Posadas for about three days because there was a bus strike, so me and my brand new greenie (new missionary) got an unfortunate mini-vacation from missionary work for half of the week. I had to keep telling him "Don't worry, I promise we do more stuff than this every day" We stayed with some of the Elders in Posadas while we were waiting for the bus strik...

  Hola a todos Highlights: This week on Monday our friend Maria Hellman appeared at our ward activity and told us that she wanted to be baptized... which was super awesome until we went to her house to teach her and she said that she had decided to leave the church... skipped a few steps there but its all good  On the topic of ugly dogs our friend Sergio's mangy dog followed us for about 2 hours on Tuesday and I almost punted that thing so far On the topic of kicking animals Elder Rasmussen and I were walking home one night and a GIANT rat jumped on my foot and I kicked that thing so far you have no idea There was an absolute Monsoon in Formosa the other day, it was raining/hailing so hard that our door got knocked off the hinges I am so confused by some of the music here. There's a lot of Drug trade that goes down on the street where we live, and the dealers LOVE to sit outside and blast music all night.
