Semana 12

 ¡Hola a todos!

Another awesome week! Here's the highlights:

  • The best part of my week was yesterday when the kids in my Ward asked me to Rap in English for them. I broke out one of the best Luckus verses I could do, and they went crazy. I thought it was so funny that they were still impressed when they didn't understand a single word of what I said
  • It was REALLY COLD this week. Cold here is nothing like dry, Colorado cold: it's 100% humidity, bone-chilling cold. The best part is that usually the bone-chilling cold is accompanied with crazy rainstorms. The best part about cold weather is that families are more likely to let us in when they see us shivering!
  • One night on the way down to one of our neighborhoods, we got caught in a HUGE storm, so we spent the night walking from house to house in ankle-high water on straight dirt roads. It rained so hard, Elder Packer's Umbrella broke. Mine managed to survive which was a major W
  • I am officially too tall for this country. I was walking out of a bank and hit my head so hard on a sign that I got a huge cut on my scalp. The tellers found it much more amusing then I did
  • This week had its challenges, but I managed to make the best of it as I looked for the little bits of sunshine every day. We got rejected a ton, but I ate Empanadas for dinner every night this week! It's a lot easier to make it through tough times when you're actively looking for the blessings every day
Working hard, learning a ton, and having a blast! I'm so blessed to be down here in Argentina. Make sure to let me know how you're doing!
