Semana 18

 ¡Hola hola!

It's a beautiful day down here in San Vicente, after a few months of cold and rainy, we're making our way to Spring and it's finally getting nice outside! Here's the highlights of this week:
  • One of the little kids in our branch asked me what day my birthday is, and he was beyond hyped to find out that our birthdays are on the same day! After some rapid-fire spanish and lots of jumping up and down he told me we were gonna have our birthday parties together. So if anyone wants to come to me and Alvaro's birthday party you're all invited
  • I learned that people in Argentina have a zero-tolerance policy for cats walking into the house. Whenever a cat walks in, everyone yells "MICHA" and either claps really loud or throws whatever pot/pan/shoe is closest. So I guess if you want to personally offend an Argentine just let a cat into their house
  • San Vicente randomly threw this massive party called "La Estudiantina" this weekend, which was essentially just a huge parade that started at 10:00 pm and ended at 1:00 am every night from Friday to Sunday. I wasn't too bothered because Mexico City gave me the ability to sleep through anything, but in the end it was kind of an L because no one wanted to come watch General Conference with us this weekend :(
  • Conference was lit, I was not a fan of the Translators from Spain, however. Just speak like a normal person please
  • Our friend Yennifer decided that she wants to be baptized this week! We're super hyped for her and are working to set a date, but that'll be coming up soon!
I'm loving my time in San Vicente! Transfers are next week so I'm hoping that I'll be able to stay here at least one more, but we'll see how it all works out! As always let me know how you're doing!
