Semana 21

Hola amigos y familia... en Martes?!? Qué?!?

I've decided that there's never actually a regular week in the mission... I can't actually get into everything that happened this week, but just know that it was wild as per usual.

Here's my highlights:
  • Got robbed on Tuesday last week!! It was my first time getting robbed so I was a little nervous🤗 but luckily I didn't have to worry about it too much because someone just stole my wallet out of my pocket when I was sleeping on a bus. Luckily I didn't have anything too valuable stolen, but I am missing that $50 bucks worth of Pesos right about now
  • New youth album dropped this week and it slaps, almost makes missing the Utopia drop a little bit easier
  • Elder Yetter had his first Argentina-rainy-day experience this week and he was not a fan. "Friday sucked" - Elder Yetter, direct quote
  • We had a lesson this week at the Chapel with a dude named Ruben, which in theory is usually a good idea. However, bro did not stop talking for about 2 hours, so we eventually had to stand him up and walk him out of the church. I got a nice talking-to from my Zone Leaders for that one which was super fun, and we found out yesterday that he didn't even read the copy of the Book of Mormon we gave him. Major L but hopefully he reads it sometime soon
  • Betiana and Yenifer were Baptized on Sunday! It was such an amazing experience to finally help them take such a big step in their lives. They about gave me a heart attack when they showed up 20 minutes late to sacrament meeting, but they got baptized in the end so we're all good
  • I had to travel to Posadas on Sunday night to register for Argentine Citizenship, so I've pretty much spent the past two days sitting on buses and getting yelled at in Castellano for being an American. But I did get to stay in a hotel one night and we got to go to McDonalds TWICE so that was a W
  • Last night heading back from Posadas our 5 hour bus ride got extended to 8 when our bus broke down. Two times. Elder Yetter was not too pleased to be sitting on the side of the highway in the middle of Misiones for 3 hours. However it all worked out in the end when President Reber decided to be a G and give us the Pday that we missed today!
I liked something Elder Plumb wrote in his email, "Let´s go play some offense not defense, time to grind." Things have really been progressing in San Vicente recently, and it looks like we're gonna have a lot of big stuff coming up soon! So with that in mind we're playing offense this week, cause it's time to grind. Shoutout to Coach Plumb, and as always let me know how you're all doing!

Cuernos Abajo,

Elder Johnson
