Semanas 48 - 49

 Hola a todos

Two awesome weeks! Some crazy experiences, here's the highlights:

  • Started the week off with a ward talent show and performed a Luckus song in English, the whole ward went crazy
  • Went on divisions with Elder Felix in Ibarreta, pretty standard divisions not really too much went down
  • Also went on divisions with an Elder from México named Elder Limón. He and his companion were having a rough time in their area so we had them down in Terminal to try and help them out. We had some pretty fire lessons together and at the end of the day I asked him if there was anything he learned/wanted to apply in his area... he kindly said "No not really I didn't learn too much" and I was at least glad that he was being honest
  • Highlight of week 48 was when Elder Bell and I were walking down the street and we saw Chibu the goat walking around in his usual stamping grounds so we decided to go say hi. However we were surprised to see that he had gotten off his chain, so we ended up getting chased by a goat for ten minutes
  • In Villa del Carmen we almost accidentally participated in a robbery of a dude's parakeet. This lady walked up to us and asked "Hey can you help me get my bird back" and so obviously we said yes and tried getting the bird back... but then some dude walked out of his house yelling at us and turns out the lady was a bird thief and we almost committed grand theft parakeet
  • Week 49 started out pretty normal until we headed to Resistencia and Victor the Taxi driver told me that he found me on Spotify. We ended up doing a Luckus greatest hits run in the taxi and I was very hyped
  • Also on the way to Resi I watched Black Panther 2 and a Chinese movie that was significantly better than the latter
  • Elder Bell ended up getting deathly ill at the end of the week so I sat in the house and read Jesús el Cristo for an elapsed 9 hours and slept for the rest of it. Kind of an L but learned a lot
Got transfer news yesterday and I'm leaving Formosa and heading to Resistencia! Thanks for all the support as always!

Hola a todos Highlights: This week on Monday our friend Maria Hellman appeared at our ward activity and told us that she wanted to be baptized... which was super awesome until we went to her house to teach her and she said that she had decided to leave the church... skipped a few steps there but its all good  On the topic of ugly dogs our friend Sergio's mangy dog followed us for about 2 hours on Tuesday and I almost punted that thing so far On the topic of kicking animals Elder Rasmussen and I were walking home one night and a GIANT rat jumped on my foot and I kicked that thing so far you have no idea There was an absolute Monsoon in Formosa the other day, it was raining/hailing so hard that our door got knocked off the hinges I am so confused by some of the music here. There's a lot of Drug trade that goes down on the street where we live, and the dealers LOVE to sit outside and blast music all night. The confusing part is that you might think that the tough street gangs w...

Hola que tal mis weys Packed week, here's the highlights: Had divisions with Elder Rasmussen (other rasmussen, not the one who is 6'7) and it was litty, turns out we were both at BYU at the same time and we know all the same people so that was litty Also on divisions we went on visits with a kid named Thiago and he said "After today I have decided to go on a Mission" which was super dope!!  Found the best burgers in Formosa which isn't saying much but I was pleased On Wednesday night Elder Rasmussen and I went with the other ZL's and HLC's to Resistencia for a Leadership Conference and our bus ended up getting delayed for about two hours, so the whole trip ended up feeling like a big vacation. My good friend took a LOT of pictures and I added some below, enjoy Driving from the Terminal in Resistencia our Taxi Driver let us know that he regularly adds a dose of Cocaine to his daily Mate, I thought it might not be the best of ideas but he assured me that i...

¡Hola a todos! Here's the highlights from the past two weeks in Formosa Capital: It is really hot (Highest this week was 104°F with 98% humidity) and every single conversation that I have starts with somebody mentioning that it is really hot Elder Smith and I were knocking doors to try and find some members in the projects and a dude answered the door 100% naked. Turns out he was not the member we were looking for Went on Divisions with Elder Reyes in Centenario and participated in the most heated Ward Council meeting that I have ever experienced Found a goat and his owner said that if we want we can use him to ride around the neighborhood so we can get around faster. W I've been living the dream that I had throughout my whole 6 months in San Vicente because there are Elders who live closer than 3 hours away and we play basketball every Pday  Life is good Let me know how you've all been doing! Have a great week! Cuernos Abajo, Elder Johnson 1-3 Formosa Capital 4. Formosa ...
